A PROPOSAL OF MEMORIES.

She looked down at him,

She looked around the room;

pictures suspended;

perfect setting.

The ring shining,

dancing glares at memories.

Pictures taken,

smiles faked,

fighting hatred,

those pictures, hanging from the ceiling.

Pictures taken,

suspended on thread;

two people naked on the bed,

two people dancing in the shed.

She looked down at him,

his eyes shining.

She now saw the hatred in him;

people warned her,

her soul warned her of his hatred

towards life,

towards the world,

towards her,

towards them.

Pictures taken,

suspended on thread;

two kids holding hands,

twelve years ago,

a long time ago indeed.

As the camera’s clicking clicked,

they fought a fight so nasty,

but the pictures,

they say different.

She looked down at him, again.

His eyes, filled with hope.

Her heart tightened.

She looked at him and whispered

“NO”.

His eyes fought back tears,

mouth formed into a smile,

She knew she had whispered right.
